What: Space Case with action figures.
Manufacturer: Tara Toy Company, Universal Studios, Tomland.
Year: 1978.
Where: I'm not saying ;-)
When: April 2001.
How much: $18.95.
Why: I saw the Space Case in the display case after making another purchase moments before. I recognized it immediately. I can't remember if I either had one of these when I was little or a friend. Maybe even from toy catalog from back in the day. Needless to say I was "Oh. Want!" I had to see it. I asked if there was anything inside and the guy said "no" but I still wanted to inspect it. The case is in perfect condition. No wear or tear that you would expect from something that would house toys. According to the printing on the cover it holds up to 24 figures including Star Wars, Shogun Warriors Galactica and Metal Man. Remember Metal Man? If I hadn't read this I would not have remembered those figures. Those things were heavy. I had the gold one with the skinny legs and red jet pack. My grandmom got me it as an early Christmas present.

Low and behold there was rattling inside when I handled it. I opened it and staring back at me were a total of ten figures! Four of them were Battlestar Galactica aliens and the rest were unknown to me but they are from the same series. I couldn't pass by the opportunity to own two cylons figures. I had two Cylons figures from years ago. I watched the show as a wee lad on Sunday evenings if our family made it home from church early. I had the gold one and my brother had a silver.

The other six figures I had no clue about. They all had two accessories each either a saber and a gun or an axe. They are in excellent condition. Does anyone know anything they can tell me about them? The markings on the back say 1978 Toyland Made In Hong Kong with a rabbit logo. The heads are a rubber material with the body being plastic.
