| What: Galaxy II Electronic Game. Manufacturer: Epoch. Year: 1981. Where: Community Thrift Store. Orlando, FL. When: January 2000. How much: $14.99. Why: A game from my childhood! My next door neighbor Randy had this game. Or it may have been Todd who lived in behind Randy. I played it all the time. It's an alien shoot em' game a lot like Galaga with an LED display. I remember seeing this at the thrift store sitting on top of an old xerox machine. Just sitting there. They must have just put it out because this is not something that will stay on a shelf for more than a day. I had glossy eyes remembering the game. I snatched it and it was mine. I had no batteries (4 size "C") to test it out with and at their price it was a gamble. Luckily, it was in perfect working order - a true thrift score. |
