After Wednesday band practice Phil and I went over to Wills Pub to catch our friend Kenzies band One Minute Revolution. They are vying to be a mega cute band. They just may be cute enough. We'll see. It was my first time seeing them. I heard of them before but I didn't know Kenzie played for them. They had a nice sound. I don't know how to describe them... kinda punky kinda poppy but not pop punky. Ha. Know what I mean? They even have their own comic book where each member has special powers. It's neat-o.

The next two bands were on tour together: Every Idle Hour and Nakatomi Plaza. I think they were both from New York. Both were all right, a bit more hardcore than I care for. The bass player for Nakatomi Plaza always had this evil glare at the end of every song.

Orlando favorites Destination Daybreak came on next. They are playing with one guitar player now. Still awesome stuff.

After DD I heard some banter about Adventures In Immortality doing an impromptu reunion show. If you know Orlando band history you know who Adventures are. Those guys were and are important people in the "scene". I think the band was around until 1994ish. I thought Mike Roberts (Destination Daybreak) was being silly but when I saw movement on stage I was "Noooo. This can't be happening. They can't be serious". I went up front and sure enough... Adventures In Immortality were gearing up. Phil (not Todd Elliott) was on bass, Keith on guitar, Josh on drums and Mike behind the mic. They graced the audience with one song. It was pretty cool. I never got to see them live. Now I have. Hope you were there cos if not - ya missed it. I went home and pulled out my old tapes and 7"s. Yeah, that was some good stuff.
