Friday night myself and the girls of The Sharp Objects hit the road to play our first out of town show in Jacksonville. We played at TSI, a groovie club in east Jax. Charles of Thee Monarchy V and The Beat Elite DJ's with Paul. We played our set in the dark (other than our light show), it made playing hard but the three of us make up for it in cuteness. We stole their hearts. And they stole my wallet. Haha. No, really. Someone made off with my wallet and my cell phone. Man, I was down because I had just lost both my wallet and first cell phone a month ago. It was horrible and I did not want to go through all that again. An announcement was made at the club and I guess someone felt guilty so both were returned to me -- all but the cash I had inside the wallet, which sucks in itself but not as much as not getting anything back. Poor Hannah had gotten a bad veggie burger at Burger King and was vomiting furiously the entire night, though not during our performance. She was feeling pretty bad. I was happy my Jax friends were all there. They invited us to play again so that was cool. All in all the trip was a mixed bag. We stayed with Dennie overnight and came back Saturday afternoon. ![]() Jeffrey, Kristin, Hannah at TSI. Photo: Ken Chiodini. ![]() The girls getting ready for the show. Photo: Kristin Messina. |
