My weekend was pretty cool. I went to this party at the Tree Top Room at the Langford Hotel in posh (had to use that word) Winter Park. It was this very cool penthouse room with windows for walls overlooking downtown. You had to take this small elevator to the top. I was dressed all glam rock though I kicked myself when I realized I left my red heart-shaped glasses in the car.

I saw a bunch of Orlando bands I never had seen before:

Kai is one guy and he was dressed as The Incredicble Hulk. He said we "wouldn't like it if he got angry." He played some song on guitar and we had to listen or he would kill us all.

Fellatio is a very cool co-ed riot grrrl band. Every song seemed to be about oral sex or fucking up. Love it. Their guitar player Coleen is a cutie. She was wearing a mini skirt and duct tape over her boobs (they would leave marks left on her body). The singer wore bubble wrap. I think my new favorite song is "Golf Course." Ask me to sing it for you sometime.... grass stains on my knees.... oh mi.

Then I saw my new favorite Orlando band, The Charm Conspiracy. They are completely awesome. I had never seen them before and quite frankly, blew me away. My brother says they are like The Make-Up. I say they are just like The Kiss Offs. Either way, they are a solid rock machine. It's safe to say that I'll be at every Charm Conspiracy show from now on.

Between bands was Casio Shack, which is one guy with an aresnal of electronics. Most people mingled and I sat and listened to the soothing sounds, samples and beats from the casios. Nice.

Then The Bang Bang Bang Society put on a full frontal pop explosion glam rock style. I met the two girls, Evi Wonder and Amanda Propaganda, and drummer John J. Internationale when we went to Gainesville last weekend for Amanda Douberlys birthday party. Their band is pretty cool, cool enough so I asked them to play at my show. They dress up all glam rock and glitter, all in white, have glittery guitars, make-up, platform boots. The boys dressed snazzy, too. Well, there was one person at a keyboard completely covered so I didn't know if they were a girl or a boy. Eeek! (p.s. - it was a boy). The BBBS go all out during their shows. They had a huge rocket as a background prop that had blinking lights. They threw out autographed (photocopied) pictures of themselves, feathers, and gave out several baby & barbie dolls redone in glam rock style.

I met some nice people, too. As the night wore on everyone got drunker and drunker. There were people (it was the Fellatio boy) running around with only duct tape over their areas. I'm glad I wasn't around when it had to come off!

I didn't do anything for Halloween night. I didn't even have any trick or treaters come to my house. Well, that was good because I didn't have any candy. I watched X-Files and that episode scared the crap out of me. It was creepy.
