Photography and Story by Jeffrey Howard. I'd not really listened to much Sloan. I know they get played on the radio but I couldn't tell a Sloan song from any other band I didn't know. All my friends were mega excited that they were playing. I missed them last year in Gainesville because my grandmom was in the emergency room. So I finally got to see what all the fuss about Sloan is. I must admit they were rockin'. They had all the right rock n' roll moves, poses and all. The Shelia Divine opened. I still don't have anything nice to say about them. Oh, my insane friends - including one Sarah Wise - were total geeks and got all of Sloans autographs. Har har.  |
