June of 44 was simply amazing tonight. And Sapphire was packed! It seemed there were *more* people tonight than the Superchunk show. Not just the 'indie-postrock' kids were out, the hardcore/emo and punk crowd were there too. It was a weird mix of people! I've said it before: Doug Scharin is probably one of the best drummers I'll ever see. I spent over half the night shaking my head in disbelief of what I was seeing *and* hearing from him.
