Masters of the Hemisphere

Yes, once again I missed the first band of the night. Yes, I missed the first live show of Sean (from Tullycraft) project called Six Cents and Natalie. Scold me!!!! I really wanted to see them. The Masters of the Hemisphere once again proved their undeniable cuteness. They don't pretend to be cute... they *are*. Their in between song banter made me laugh. Sean at one point rambles "We have these comic books and they have these strange characters and there's a high pitch sound...." I wasn't sure what he was meaning; maybe it made sense in some way but I don't know. They played an awesome set.

The Minders

I know one Minders song: that "Yeah Yeah Yeah" song on the 'We Can Still Be Friends' compilation. I love that song! They didn't play it! Or maybe I was busy watching a very long pool game between Steve Clay and Vivian (see picture below)....

Junior Varsity

Next in the show, Karen from Bunnygrunt gets on stage and makes this brilliant introduction of Texas' Junior Varsity. The band races onstage decked out in full 50's cheerleader outfits and played some funny as all 50's style punk rock. The gal jumped up in the air, gee so did the drummer. They were so fun! Don't forget they are from Texas, all right? Texas. Got it? Texas.
